We are currently seeking an experienced People & Performance Advisor to join a reputable State Government entity in Fremantle. Reporting directly to the Senior People & Performance Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive coaching and support to Senior Leaders across all aspects of the employee life cycle. This hands-on position offers a unique opportunity to work within both Corporate and Operational environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Employee Relations:
    • Provide expert guidance and support to Leaders on performance management, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.
    • Conduct thorough investigations when required, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
  • Change Management:
    • Conduct reviews and analysis of organizational structures, facilitating updates to Job Description Forms (JDFs) as necessary.
    • Prepare compelling business cases to support organizational changes, providing guidance and support throughout the execution process.
  • Performance Review Cycles:
    • Assist leaders in conducting end-of-year performance conversations and utilizing relevant systems effectively (e.g., Oracle).
  • Job Descriptions:
    • Review and update JDFs, ensuring alignment with organizational processes and advising on appropriate classifications in accordance with Enterprise Agreements (EAs).

Essential Experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in a similar HR Advisor role.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing Employee Relations matters, including performance management and grievance handling.
  • Proven ability to interpret Enterprise Agreements, policies, and legislation, providing informed advice to senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and negotiate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the capability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated integrity and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
